Shared Inspections are essentially any work that is completed by other organizations on assets in your portfolio. The other organization first connects with your organization inside BuiltSpace and then chooses which buildings (and therefore its assets) it wants to share with you. Any work completed on these assets will automatically be available for members in your organization to view.
For example, as a building manager and with your own BuiltSpace organization set up, you can view any inspections that another organization has completed on the Assets in your portfolio, in real-time!
Depending on the access level the other organization has given your organization (see below), you may either be able to view very basic information or even have full editing & deleting permissions.
Access Levels
There are seven (7) levels of inspection sharing rules. These rules are configured by BuiltSpace. The organization that is sharing their inspections with you can choose exactly what they want you to be able to see. Each level is explained in more detail below:
Level | What you will share... |
Level 1: Basic Metadata | Title, Date, Category, and Building |
Level 3: Basic Inspections without Photos | All of the above + Procedure Questions & Answers |
Level 4: Basic Inspections with Photos | All of the above + Photos |
Level 5: Full Inspection | All of the above + Asset Properties and Details (from each Answer) |
Level 7: Verification | All of the above + Geolocation, Technician's Name & Email, and Duration of the Inspection |
Level 9: Full Read | All of the above + Private information such as Hours & Materials, and Additional Comments |
Level 10: Full Control | All of the above + ability to Edit & Delete Inspections |
Accessing the Shared Inspections feature will be explained in the next article.
